Information About Jade
Jade Grading
Jadeites which are worn for protection for hundreds of years come from Burma (Myanmar). For jadeites, the "Type A" indicates natural jadeite without treatment except for surface waxing. "Type B" means bleached and polymer impregnated jadeite. "Type C" refers to dyed jadeite. "Type B + C" is a combination of "Type B" and "Type C". However, not all "Type A" jadeites are expensive. It depends on the quality of the jadeite which comprises of (but not limited to) the luster, translucency, density, color and carving.
